i did not expect them to be lined up in the order you had presented them, assuming that it would be in the order that you had numbered/made them...hmm.
did i say the grey-brown one was my favorite? i love all of them...
These are so beautiful! I simply cannot choose a favourite. I have been collecting my "off-cuts" when I go to the hairdresser for about 6 months but I am still not sure what to do them. They are only short because my hair is short. I will keep collecting them because I find the idea of using hair in art so intriguing - inspiration will come eventually, I'm sure.
I love your work! It's funny, because I had visited your blog and was admiring your work with the intention of coming back and commenting when I had more time, and then I found a comment from you on my blog (ahh the internet). It's so nice to have an idea of who comments are coming from.
these dresses are very touching, fairy tale like, rumplestilstken, but most of all when they are aligned they remind me of the witches from shakespear, the wyrd sisters from anglo saxon mythology, with there femininity present but somewhat revolting and fascinating at the same time, with power over life and death, although your dresses are more subtle. Only a woman would be able to think about such dresses, the value of hair to us. (I do have long hair and wouldn't be without it even though at 46 I should probably be more sensible).
